Villa de la Madone is the ideal setting for exploring the Côte d’Azur hinterland and its traditional villages, as well as the French Riviera coastline. Local shops, including a boulangerie, are just over a kilometer away, and there is a charming little market on Monday mornings.

For the more active, you can stroll up to the old village and explore the narrow lanes passing flower-filled houses, taking in the vistas from the very top. Grasse, the perfume capital of France, is only 6km away, and you can enjoy lunch in gorgeous villages like Cabris and Gourdon. On Fridays, you can visit the atmospheric morning market in Valbonne.

Art-lovers will appreciate Mougins and Saint-Paul-de-Vence’s Fondation Maeght, while keen hikers can discover several trails across the region, from the waterfalls of Saut du Loup to the forests around Lac de Saint-Cassien. If you want to venture further out, you can spend the day in Cannes or Antibes, explore the Côte d’Azur by boat, and enjoy the beachside restaurants and watersports of the French Riviera. After a day out, you can return to your stunning holiday abode for a glass of chilled local rosé on one of your picturesque terraces in such wonderful surroundings.
